About me
Africa Borges del Rosal is a graduate and doctor in psychology y university professor for more than 35 years.
Since the year 2002, after training in the subject, began to study and address more specifically the issue of high intellectual abilities in boys and girls; Since then, he has devoted a large part of his career teacher and researcher to this topic.
Africa Borges del Rosal is teacher holder of the Department of Clinical Psychology, Psychobiology and Methodology of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of La Laguna.
Furthermore:
- Direct from 2001, the "Group of Work and Research in Superdotación"(GTISD), where, among other things, he coordinates doctoral theses.
- Create, in 2004, the "Comprehensive Program for High Capacities"(PIPAC), an after-school program for the care of boys and girls between 4 and 12 years with high abilities (and their families), which has crossed borders and is also currently implemented in Mexico.
This program seeks, among other objectives, to promote socio-affective and cognitive aspects, as for example the interpersonal relationships, of these children with high intellectual capacities. - She is Director of the International Network for Research, Intervention and Evaluation in High Intellectual Capacities (REINEVA)
The research group led by Borges del Rosal, also participates in the "Share" Program, a mentoring system for doctoral students, who through expositions to children between 6 and 15 years, seek to awaken interest in children for scientific issues.
