The 7 Sunday in April celebrates the World Health Day. Annual event with which the World Health Organization (WHO) crecalls its creation in the year 1948. Access to all types of medical services and the right to be treated for any type of pathology is the motto this year of World Health Day. With the purpose of incentivize the right to quality global health, the World Health Organization, this year has focused its campaign to raise awareness and spread the importance of universal health coverage.
To achieve this goal, it is crucial that all people can have the care they need, at any time they need it. Progress is being made in this area in countries in all regions of the world. This day is an outreach tool to launch calls for action on important health issues. Universal health it means that all people have access, without any discrimination, to quality comprehensive health services, when and where they need them, without having to face financial difficulties. This requires the definition and implementation of policies and actions with a multisectoral approach to address the social determinants of health and encourage the commitment of the whole society to promote health and well-being
However, millions of people still have no access to health care. And many people, who also number in the millions, are forced to choose between health care and other daily expenses, such as food, clothing or even a roof.
