Laser facial rejuvenation: How to look a revitalized face

Facial rejuvenation treatment with fractionated CO2 laser is indicated in patients who want to improve wrinkles and skin that is already aged or photo-aged.

The laser makes small controlled burns as pointers in the areas to be treated (areas with wrinkles, photo aged ...) leaving healthy sites, to repair damaged tissue at the expense of undamaged tissue.

Is a pre-treatment preparation necessary?

There is a pretreatment with which we are quite demanding.

Taking into account the climate of Canary Islandswhich is quite warm and sunny, the first thing is to avoid the sun during the four weeks before treatment. During that time we indicated a depigmenting cream, leaving the last week to rest without applying. In this way, the skin will arrive as depigmented as possible to the treatment.

How is the laser facial rejuvenation procedure?

The procedure is very simple, it is just to put a program depending on what we want to get in the patient. For example, we will use a certain schedule depending on the patients having more or less wrinkles, if the treatment should be more or less aggressive, etc.

When are the results seen after treatment?

The results of laser facial rejuvenation treatment begin to be visible from the 15 days.

The first seven days the patient will have the sensation of burning in the face. After the third or fourth day, scabs appear that will later leave the skin and will be lost little by little without forcing it to not create micro wounds and damage the skin and make a hyperpigmentation.

At 15 days the patient will not have these scabs and intense pink skin will appear. We have to protect this skin from the sun, always using a protector. This is because it is a new skin very given to stain. It is a skin that we are stimulating and it is very easy to get dirty. For these reasons, we must keep the sunscreen at least three months.
