Processed foods are foods that undergo any deliberate change that occurs in the processing of these before being available for consumption. Processed foods they are very present in our diet but they are less nutritious than fresh or natural foods.

  • Food that incorporate certain additives that alter or improve His properties in order to enhance its taste or appearance, such as sweeteners, dyes and preservatives.
  • Foods suitable for immediate consumption that have undergone a high level of processing, like cookies, sweets, chips chips, cereals, sausages ...
  • Highly processed foods like pizzasfrozen and others dishes ready to microwave.

Disadvantages: the change in the nutritional composition that food undergoes by ceasing to be a fresh and natural product. Many lose food fiber; others, the aqueous content so that its caloric density increases.

Where do we find them?

  • Soft Drinks

How can they affect our health?

We cannot claim that they are fatal to our health or beneficial. There is one very important thing that we must keep in mind. We cannot base our diet on processed foods  since with its abuse we would seriously harm our body.

These foods are full of unhealthy additives and high sugar levels. They are a serious inconvenience for those people who want to lose weight.

We must consume them in moderation and combining their presence in the diet with fresh and natural foods as well as a healthy lifestyle.
