In case of having symptoms (fever or cough or respiratory distress) the Ministry of Health recommends following these steps:
- Isolate yourself: In a single use room with a window, keeping the door closed, and, if possible, an individual bathroom. If it is not possible: keep the safety distance of 2 meters with the rest of the people and extreme hygiene.
- Stay in touch: Have a phone available to report the needs that arise and you can maintain communication with your loved ones.
- Do you have a feeling of gravity ?: If you have a feeling of shortness of breath or a feeling of gravity from any other symptom, call 112.

- Self-care: Use acetaminophen to control fever; put damp cloths on your forehead or take a warm shower to help control fever; drink liquids; rest, but moving around the room from time to time.
- Home insulation: Now that you have done the most immediate, study and apply the recommendations for home isolation and inform your cohabitants that they have to quarantine.
- Wash your hands: Make sure everyone at home knows how to do a proper hand wash.
- If you feel worse: If you get worse and have breathing difficulties or are not controlled
- fever, call 112 or 900 112 061.
- At 14 days: It is recommended to maintain isolation 14 days from the onset of symptoms, provided that the clinical picture has resolved.
- The discharge: Follow-up and discharge will be supervised by your Primary Care doctor or as indicated by each Autonomous Community.
