Firefighters in Gran Canaria
The Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium is the body that attends to all kinds of emergencies on the island of Gran Canaria. Since he began to exercise his functions, in July 2003, the island territory and its population have received the highest level of protection and assistance. The fire brigade, the special vehicles, and all the material resources are distributed in eight bases. In addition, these bases are strategically distributed on the island, they constitute an authentic "ring of protection" for Gran Canaria.

Following a criterion of unity of command, the organization has five professional fire stations. In addition, it coordinates 9 volunteer parks, with the presence of 44 firefighters on permanent duty. Therefore, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, they ensure the safety of our citizens.
