How to prepare your healthy goals for 2021?

Why is it important to set goals?

Setting goals is the only way to make your dreams come true. Goals help personal growth, since the feeling of accomplishment when meeting the objectives brings respect and confidence in yourself. And believing in yourself is very important to reach the goal. 

To get to the goal, we must implement planning as a tool. Without this tool, it will be quite difficult to achieve the proposed objectives. If you believe in the law of attraction and have a planned and achievable plan, you will meet your goals 99%. Achieving dreams also depends on the power of your mind and attracting everything you want.

Why do you propose the same thing every year and it never ends?

If we only think about what we would like but do not work on it to achieve it, it will never be fulfilled. exist several reasons why the goals are not abandoned:

  1. You want to achieve a very general goal and you do not know how to carry it out, for example, save more. 
  2. Not establishing an action plan for that goal. 
  3. Having too many goals, which ends up leading to abandoning them all. It is better to start small, but achievable. 
  4. Losing motivation from the start.
  5. Start with very big steps instead of small ones, complicating the way to the goal. 
  6. Not creating the habits necessary to carry out the planning. 
  7. Not committing to yourself, so failing will be easier. 
  8. Let negative thoughts dominate you, for example "I'm not going to make it." 
  9. Listen to the criticism of others, convincing yourself that they are right. 
  10. Procrastinate as a fundamental pillar, in the end the months pass and you have not yet achieved any objective.

How do you do good planning?


It is about not abandoning halfway through and starting in an organized way, you must take into account:

  • WHAT: What do you want to achieve? What have you proposed? 
  • WHY: For what reason do you want to achieve the “what”?
  • HOW TO: How are you going to do it to achieve the “what”? Action plan. 
  • WHEN: When are you going to fulfill the "what"? Proposed date or time to reach the goal.

It is important that you take all the time necessary to get this point well woven, planning and internalizing is crucial to meet the goals. 

  • Step 1: Define the "what". Write all the objectives as they come out, they will be the goals for 2021. 
  • Step 2:: Define the “why”. Write the reasons why you want to meet these goals, it will help you if you ever want to give up. 
  • Step 3: Define your goals in categories: financial, professional, personal… The one that includes the most goals will be the most relevant. 
  • Step 4:: Define the “when”. Establish a date by which the goal should be accomplished. You should try to be realistic, taking into account the complexity that it may take you. 
  • Step 5:: Divide the goals by quarters. 
  • Step 6:: Define the "how". For this, each objective will have a “sub-objective” (measurable, achievable, realistic, specific, delimited by date). 
  • Step 7:: Put reminders everywhere possible every month.
  • Step 8:: Analyze at the end of the month and quarter how you have done, what you have achieved and what you can improve.
